Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority decision. Antonina continued to win and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in 2011, and was the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia started her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina last fought against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship of Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The following two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a hiatus to focus on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina took the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she losing her following fight to Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina bounced right back after her loss and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski but she beat Ariane. Antonina was recently knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
